|
| Our
corporation depends
upon creators of technically and/or conceptually wondrous
effects to submit evidence therof for inclusion in our diversified
marketing campaigns. As you've suspected: the public unconsciously
hungers for exposure to & acquisition of your brilliant
experiments in tension & Slop Brand is here to capitalize
upon your continued expressive excellence. |
 |
|
GET
IT TOGETHER:
Submit
plentiful vivid evidence of one (1) or more of your recent Fine
Art products, whatever they may be, in the form of slides, jpegs,
quicktime movies, via email, CD-ROMs, DVDs etc. & you pay
only $24.99. |
Our
Beneficient Offer to Those Who Submit: If your submission
meets the needs of our finicky consumer base, at least one (1)
commodity from each entrant will be included in at least one (1)
Slop Brand print advertisement AND seen on the
award-winning Slop
Art Dot Com in the year following your submission!
When consumers pounce, you get at least 60% of the retail price
(plus the shipping costs when you send products from your location
straight to the consumer). |
|
|
We'll
design the print advertisements & run them at least once in
local papers around the country as resources allow & send
you a copy, along with the original file. Since every sincere
Fine Art manufacturer is likely to have an eager audience awaiting
an opportunity to acquire his or her wares, we've decided that
this time, unlike in our four (4) previous calls for submissions,
we're not going to send rejection letters. Instead we'll find
a way to embrace the work of each sincere entry. Slop Brand
product analysts reserve the right to show details, superimpose
graphics, write blurbs, etc. & apply their secret formulae
to determine which products will be shown smaller, even without
an image, & which products will be highlighted. |
| Also:
At least one (1) artist will be chosen for the Solo Zone
of a truck, train, &/or ship-borne Slop Brand Shippable
Showroom franchise, which will be shipped to & installed
wherever in conjunction with efforts & financing of the highest-bidding
franchisees. |
|
|
|
Many
will be invited to appear in brick & mortar-style
Slop Brand Showroom Franchises should any be scheduled.
Though nothing is set in stone as of this writing, potential
franchisees mustering adequate investment are invited to propose
times & places for the traditional Slop Brand Showroom
Franchise, as seen to date in: Austin & Beaumont,
TX, Beverly, MA, Chicago, IL, Cedar Falls, IA, Kansas City &
St. Louis, MO, La Crosse & Madison, WI, Oxford, OH, Portland,

WORTHWHILE
BENEFITS of SUBMISSION:
-
You get
at least 60% of any retail prices paid by the consumer, whether
your work is sold from a franchise or over the worldwide web
(except when sold in the Art*o*mat® format #2 below).
-
Those
products that are submitted by manufacturers who've earned
a Master of Fine Arts degree will be eligible for the
Certified
Masterworks branding glory. We've led the
industry in recognizing the value added by questioning assumptions
& comparing work. By pioneering the Certified Masterworks
quality indicator we're able to reach certain more closed-minded
demographics & sometimes it's even sans the Slop branding.
Here's an example.
-
All artists
who submit will be eligible for being chosen by Rent-An-Art-Historian's
inordinately gifted Chris Thompson Ph.D.
to become the subject of at least one (1) written piece spotlighting
their work. Thompson's written piece(s) will be made available
to the chosen artist(s) & sent unsolicited for potential
publication in ArtForum, Janson's History of Art, Reader's
Digest, People Magazine, & others.
-
Because
our print ads go into museums & esteemed private collections,
your work will likely continue "selling" many years
into the future, such as in Slop's appearance in two (2) recent
books: Richard Noyce's Printmaking At the Edge
& David P. Becker's The Imprint of Place: Maine
Printmaking: 1800-2005.
- Get a
Slop Brand iron-on embroidered patch & become eligible to
order more patches
that you've undoubtedly earned. Great consolation when sales
are scarce or a means with which to boast.

have earned. click here

| In
addition to sharing your work with the public
as you describe it, we're selectively
looking to fill a handful of slots, expanding our offerings in the
following compact & familiar formats
to help ease consumer alienation from your formidable content: |
| 1.
Slop Brand Performance On Demand Your proposed time-consuming
strategies will be made available to International & domestic
patrons who will pay travel, accomodation, & living expenses
in addition to the cost of the elapsing Fine Art product itself.
Submissions will also be considered for deployment as performance
on a per peek basis in select showroom franchises. Suggested retail
price $.99 / peek. |
|
|
2.
Art*o*mat® READY Consumers everywhere are growing
accustomed to Art*o*mat® (see http://www.artomat.org),
the world leader in compact ultra-accessible Fine Art product
retail. Everyone is invited to send artwork directly to
Art*o*mat® & get it to be sold out of their line of recommissioned
cigarette vending machines in 80+ diverse & auspicious venues.
We've decided to submit a limited line & Slop's curatorial
staff will choose at least three (3) eligible works for Slop Brand
Art*o*mat® READY packaging & then submit them to the Art*o*mat®
curatorial staff for potential acceptance. Each chosen manufacturer
will receive five (5) packages. Should Art*o*mat® approve
the prototype, submissions accepted by Slop Brand in this format
must then be repeated at least fifty (50) times. With a
set sale price of $5 per packaged work, artists selling through
Art*o*mat® are generally reimbursed $2.50 per item. But with
this Slop-mediated opportunity, artists will be raking in an impressive
$1.75 per work! If you are interested in being considered,
please indicate as such in your entry blank. Art*o*mat®
is not affiliated with Slop Brand Art & we cannot guarantee
that work we package for our elite line of properly-sized &
weighted products will be accepted for sale by Art*o*mat®.

| 3.
Slop Brand Refrigerator Magnet Perhaps the most widely
seen display area in the home, the large metal surfaces of your
most visited household appliance have not yet been fully exploited.
A select number of submissions will be ushered into this limited
line of rectangular or other-shaped image-bearing magnetically-backed
Fine Art products. For flat printed images: We'll print &
supply the backing & package for retail. |
|
| 4.
Slop Brand Painting Simulator
A great many artists still use paint on canvas & an even
greater many consumers still relish the format, reserving for it
a special authenticity status. To be considered for this popular
& scarcity-confounding punch-out & fold-up format: Send
either an 8" x 10" painting with return postage OR a high-resolution
(400ppi) scan. Four of the five previous Painting
Simulator editions have been published as editions limited to
900 using archival Ultra-Chrome ink on scored & perforated Somerset
velvet paper. Though you could demand a higher amount, prices have
been set as high as 69¢ per square inch ($134.25) & $99.99
being the going promotional retail price. Should you be chosen:
We'd send you five (5) copies of your published model. |
|

one (1) or more strictly black & white-only arrangements and/or

arrangements & enter our favorites into heavy
rotation, sending 8.5" x 11" images via fax to anyone
who orders it for a fixed pricing scale, or choose to charge more! |
|

products evidently worthy of prominent and/or repeated placement.
Consider including close-ups, descriptions of intent & result, videos,
demonstrations, & justifications for each piece. Also welcome:
any ideas for your own logos & compelling personal branding information,
including artist statements, marketing concepts, biographical background,
photographs of you in your art production outfit & consumers engaging
with your ideas.

one (1) work on sale in a print ad & at least one (1) on the web,
plus a wide variety of marketing & distribution opportunities including
potential publishing in Slop product formats.
